The Irony of It All
While sitting at my desk this early morning hour sipping my coffee, I was struck how ironic ham radio stations have become.
Look at the photo and you see why. Here is the latest state of the art radio, amplifiers, computers, tablets, trackballs, mice and what you have to the right is a lonely telegraph key.
The telegraph key, the original digital device, providing one's and zeroe's at the human rate, made by man and meant for man. No machines here other than the lever and the switch.
To make contacts in today's world can be augmented with a lot of technology or it can be back to the basics.
After all.... Contacts can be made with a single contact.
What an irony, the irony of it all.
